Highlighting Emerging Outcomes of Training on Horticulture as Agribusiness for Youths Employment in Morogoro Municipality, Tanzania

Undertaking short courses is among key mandates of the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), which is an outreach arm of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Short courses offered at the ICE, SUA are designed to benefit a broad range of categories of clients including farmers, livestock keepers, entrepreneurs, researchers, policy makers, extension officers, community development officers, formally retired staff, and youths to mention a few.

From 2021 to 2022, Sokoine University of Agriculture through the Institute of Continuing Education has been offering short courses on horticulture as agribusiness to youths from Morogoro Municipality. A number of outputs and outcomes have already been achieved following implementation of the project, which is financially supported by SWISSCONTACT.
